The date is fast approaching. Sunday 19th September is our Polo in the Park day. The Royal Leamington Spa Club is set in 600 acres of stunning Warwickshire countryside in Southam. A superb 3-course lunch will follow a champagne reception in the jubilee marquee with compere and comedian, Mike Osman entertaining you. The polo match starts at 11am. Lunch is at 1pm. Tom’s Private Dinner remains very much an event mentioned in ‘hushed’ terms – only because it is an exclusive evening that gets together business people from our community in the West Midlands, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. Not only does ‘Get A-Head’ benefit from the event, but the guests also appreciate the introduction to the subtle networking that takes place among the well established business people from all walks of life. You will leave with not only a business contact but also a friend! This year Tom has sought the attention of Lord Digby Jones who is guest speaker. Once again Edgbaston Golf Club is the superb setting for our golf day. We need teams of four to come and enjoy a light lunch, a round of golf with a complimentary half way bar and to finish the day off, we have a 3 course supper. Peter McGovern is our guest speaker and he will entertain you during the afternoon as well as hosting some fun games during supper. It's always been a great day and if the sun shines, this year will be no exception. Excellent value at £400 per team, so for £100 each you get a wonderful day out and you could go home with a prize!! This event is another 'Get A-Head' - 'must attend' we are holding a Lord's Taverners X1 v 'Get A-Head' . Our hosts are Neil Smith former England & Warwickshire player and Chris Tarrant! There will be a barbecue, face painting, use of the indoor swimming pool and auctions and raffles. We have lots of prizes to give away! This is a day for everyone, so please enquire early through the 'Get A-Head' office.

If you look at the countdown clock on our HOME page, this is what it is all about. Counting down to the 'ladies only' Trek which will take Samantha Bromwich and 32 chums to Morocco from where they will climb Mount Toubkal - the training is well underway, so there is no doubt all will achieve their goal on what is bound to be a fantastic adventure and experience whilst raising money for a PhD Student to study a specific familial gene associated with Medullary Thyroid Cancer.

Exclusive Fashion Showcase

The Get A-Head Charity will be the beneficiary of funds raised at the Fashion Showcase being held at the Royal Leamington Spa Polo Club, Stoneythorpe Hall, Southam, Warwickshire CV47 2DL on Thursday 10th September. From 5.30pm to 6.30pm there is a champagne reception and at 6.45pm there will be a Polo match featuring a team from The Get A-Head Charity.

Mike Hargreaves of Coltham Developments hosts this annual event for us. Twenty teams of four compete for all sorts of prizes and some compete for the sake of it! All of which is good fun and held at the Edgbaston Golf Club, a perfect venue. After a hard day on the course, we all head off into the sumptuous dining room and enjoy the attention of the staff whilst tucking into 3-course dinner followed by the awards and a bit of fun with an auction thrown in!!
